InterContinental Koh Samui Resort, an IHG Hotel

I gotta say, this hotel always blows me away! The staff here are super hospitable, and I can't praise them enough. The rooms are mostly spacious, perfect if you're planning a longer stay. The views are simply stunning, and there are loads of pools to soak in the scenery. It is also very quiet and perfect for romantic getaway. Now, one little thing to note: because the hotel sits on a mountain slope, you'll need to ring up a buggy to zip from place to place. But trust me, they're quick and on the ball! But, seriously, I think every penny I spent was totally worth it. I'm definitely coming back for another round!

One of the best stays we’ve had. Stayed there with my wife and newborn daughter. Felt like we were taken care of the whole time but not too much so we could just relax and enjoy our time away from home. We would definitely come back once our daughter is grown up to enjoy more of those marine activities. Just would like to thank you for the wonderful stay🙏🙏🙏

My recent stay at Intercontinental Koh Samui was a refined experience, marked by attentive service and sophisticated surroundings. The staff at Intercontinental were courteous and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms were well-appointed, offering a blend of comfort and modern elegance. The hotel's facilities, including dining options and recreational areas, added to the overall positive impression. While my stay was delightful, I believe a few enhancements could elevate it to a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Intercontinental remains a commendable choice for those seeking a luxurious retreat in the heart of the city. A solid four stars for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Far beyond all expectations, this resort is close to perfection. The location on the cliff on the most preserved side of the island offer calm and serenity with a fantastic view of the sea and the rainforest around. Be informed that there is no activity on this side of the island, if you want more festive place you should go on the north of Koh Samui. We chose this place to be in a quiet environment and we weren't disappointed, the whole stay was perfect, this hotel is so big that you will always find a place near a pool or the sea to relax without being disturbed by other guests. Staff is perfect, room and common area are wonderful, and the food is amazing. Best resort I have ever seen.

We stayed for 7 nights in a sea view club room. The resort is located in a beautifully rural part of the island, it’s secluded and peaceful - here you can truly relax. The beach is beautiful and clean and you enjoy true paradise views across the ocean. However the water is not clear enough for snorkeling and the fish are very scared of people due to spear fishing. The location also means there are no restaurants or shops at an easy distance from the hotel, so we had all our meals at location. The resort grounds are expansive and are set on a cliff side, but golf buggies take where you need to go if you’re not fond of walking up and down the hillside. We really enjoyed the tranquil setting of the resort, however due to the secludedness we were a bit disappointed with the food. We had all our meals onsite and unfortunately none of the food was great. Everything was mediocre or good at best, and quite often under seasoned and/or overcooked. Breakfast was similarly good but nothing to write home about, but I do give them kudos for consistently getting the cooking of the poached eggs right. Highly recommend the Air Bar for cocktails around sunset - the drinks I had there were some of the best I’ve had ever. The resort is well maintained and beautiful. From the room itself you can tell its age, mainly from the fact that the plumbing makes an awful lot of noise when you flush the toilet for a good while after, and the aircon was also very loud even on the lowest setting. Room itself was well appointed and spacious, and we enjoyed the generous balcony overlooking the ocean. Lastly service at the resort is extremely attentive and mostly impeccable - this is really where the hotel shines. We were very well taken care of by all of the staff at every interaction and everyone seemed very genuinely kind and attentive and we were taken well care of when I got sick during our stay. We had some issues at breakfast from time to time (tardiness or getting our order wrong) but nothing that could not be overcome. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and this is a great hideaway for anyone looking to truly relax and be well taken care of - but personally would expect considerable improvements on the food before considering a return visit.
